With over a decade of experience in dentistry Dr. Kaushik Patel brings a unique blend of technical skill and patient-centered care to Hillview Family Dental. Since moving to Edmonton in 2012, Dr. Patel has been serving the community with a compassionate approach and a commitment to excellence in oral healthcare. His background as a dental technician gives him a unique edge in understanding both the functional and aesthetic aspects of dental care.

Dr. Patel practices all aspects of general dentistry, including preventive care, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, and more. His attention to detail, combined with a gentle chairside manner, ensures that every patient feels comfortable and informed.

In 2025, Dr. Patel took ownership of Hillview Family Dental - a modern, family-friendly clinic built on the values of honesty, quality care, and personalized service. Dr. Poonam Atwal, originally from Edmonton and professionally trained in Sydney, Australia, is a warm and compassionate dentist who is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. She believes in creating a relaxed, welcoming environment and takes the time to truly listen to her patients, ensuring each visit is comfortable, informative, and positive.

Fluent in both English and Punjabi, Dr. Atwal enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds. She has a special interest in extractions and aesthetic restorative dentistry and has completed additional training in both areas, allowing her to restore function and enhance smiles with confidence and precision. She has also undertaken advanced training in neuromodulators (Botox) for therapeutic and cosmetic use, as well as nitrous oxide and oral sedation, helping even anxious patients feel at ease during treatment.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Atwal loves traveling, spending time outdoors, trying new foods, and making memories with family and friends. She believes a healthy smile plays an important role in overall well being and is dedicated to helping her patients feel proud of their smiles.
